Interesting facts:  Eagles mate for life.  Although they are fierce raptors, they make a cute little “cheep cheep” to communicate.

The Great Blue Heron, our September Visitor 2021

Since the osprey left, another feathered visitor, the Great Blue Heron,  takes turns with the bald eagle.  They don’t seem to mind sharing the same lookout spot and each sometimes visits several times a day, just not at the same time.

The Osprey Have Left till Next Year

The fish hawks are on their way to South America and other southern locales.
