About Joanna

Joanna
Maryland, United States
Soon after moving to St. Mary’s County, MD with her husband, they cofounded the St. Mary’s County Camera Club in 1998 in an effort to promote the art of photography as a hobby. She has won many Camera Club awards and Grand Champion ribbons at the St. Mary’s County Fair. She has photographed event, travel, animal and nature photography for many years. Most recently, she has enjoyed being the Official Volunteer Photographer for the Chesapeake Orchestra River Concert Series. She previously volunteered photographic River Concert reviews for the Baynet. She has been one of the judges for the St. Mary's County Fair photography competitions many times. Her photographic style is generally colorful, with a strong simplified subject and an awareness of line and shape. She loves catching reflections, beautiful light, movement and emotions whenever possible. Her photos have been on display at the Annmarie Garden, Lexington Park and Leonardtown Libraries, So Branch Calvert Library and more. She currently sells photos at Zazzle.com (calmreflectionsphoto) and Fine Art America.
