Photos of the River Concert Tributary Series concert with José Cueto (violin), Nancy Roldán (piano), Heather Haughn (violin), Jim Kelly (viola) and Barbara Brown (violincello) on July 20, 2019.  They played Argentinian music by Piazzolla, Guastavino and Ginastera at St. Mary's Hall at St. Mary's College or Maryland.  Some of the music showed off the many ways to play stringed instruments and the last piece "Allegro Tangábile" was particularly difficult and exciting.

River Concert Series Buenos Aires On the St Mary's River July 19, 2019

The last River Concert of the season featured Pedro Giraudo, 2018 Latin Grammy Award Winner and his musicians from New York City, Rodolfo Zanetti on bandoneón and Ahmed Alom on electric piano.  They played quite a few Argentinian and Tango pieces with Chesapeake Orchestra's talented violinist, Jose Cuéto.  They were a very talented group, playing along with our favorite Chesapeake Orchestra.

River Concert Series Mystical Singing Under the Stars July 12, 2019

Friday evenings 7 PM concert was led by Larry Vote, guest conductor, and featured Ping, talented young singers from St. Mary's College of Maryland.  A duet of "Konzert fur Oboe and Violin BWV 1060" by J.S. Bach included José Cueto (violinist and Concertmaster) and Ken Watson (oboist).  Arvo Part's "Piccolo Concerto on BACH for Trumpet" was played by Jeffrey Silberschlag on trumpet.  The Chesapeake Orchestra was fabulous as always.
