Here are more cherry blossoms to enjoy. I get a second chance at photographing them because the weeping cherry trees in my own yard bloom a lot later than the trees in Lexington Park and elsewhere. The first photo is a stacked photo to improve the sharpness of the image, taken in a Lexington Park parking lot. Notice how much more impact the photo with just a blue sky makes than the others with blurred backgrounds.

Cherry Blossom Time in St. Marys County
The cherry blossoms were quite early this year. The ones in my yard still haven’t bloomed yet. I found plenty on display at the Lexington Manor Passive Park, and in parking lots everywhere in Lexington Park and Leonardtown. The headquarters for St Marys County Schools had some gorgeous ones with lamp posts and reflections. Generally, the photos are enhanced by having something else as the subject with the flowers used like a lovely frame. The blossoms themselves or several trees are pretty too.

Cherry Blossom Festival Sunday 12-4
Calm Reflections Photography will be a vendor at the 2nd Annual Cherry Blossom Festival April 8th. This year the flowers will be blooming! I stopped by yesterday to check it out. I will be offering flower and other cards, prints, coasters, and a small variety of other photo craft items. You can also sign up for pet photography later.
I think there are several different species of trees, some more pink, some more white. It was challenging to photograph, since there was a fairly strong breeze.
Dress warm, bring your costumed dog for the parade and a chair to listen to the music.
