Summerseat Farm Open House June 20, 2021

 I went on a photo outing, the first one where I met with friends outside in a year.  Summerseat has lots of farm animals to visit and a medium sized garden with a historic house.  Fun!

I visited the farm of Frank and Christina Allen to photograph their young lamb and practice my photography.  Roberta had a quick bottle of milk and I enjoyed visiting all the other animals too.  I learned a bit about animal behavior, about animal behavior books by Temple Grandin, Christina Allen and Charles Long's children's book "A Farmer's Alphabet" and stayed long enough to make some of the sheep comfortable with a little photography.  I watched the chickens socialize and the amorous turkeys.  The day's visit ended with some lovely light in the barns and some pretty backlit tulips.

Unique chicken pets
