We visited Chanticleer in Wayne, PA. The gardens were lovely this time of year. We were visiting a very ill relative, so seeing some flower gardens was a good distraction.

Roberta, the Lamb
I visited the farm of Frank and Christina Allen to photograph their young lamb and practice my photography. Roberta had a quick bottle of milk and I enjoyed visiting all the other animals too. I learned a bit about animal behavior, about animal behavior books by Temple Grandin, Christina Allen and Charles Long's children's book "A Farmer's Alphabet" and stayed long enough to make some of the sheep comfortable with a little photography. I watched the chickens socialize and the amorous turkeys. The day's visit ended with some lovely light in the barns and some pretty backlit tulips.

Goose on the Loose
A wild goose wandered into our driveway and gardens and stood within 5 feet of Jim. It investigated our sundial and took a shower while Jim watered the new grass seedlings. Most of these are grooming photos after taking the shower. Amazing and amusing interactions! The goose shower is posted on youtube at http://youtu.be/bydEHmN5_3A

The exhibit will run May 29-August 28 2016 with an opening reception on May 20, 6-9 to announce the award winners. I hope you will go see the exhibit.

Broooklyn, A Pitbull/Rottweiler Mix
I wandered to the park at Beachville Road to look for spring blossoms and met Brooklyn (dog) and her Mom, Denise. I enjoyed photographing Brooklyn on the beach. She was energetic, sweet, loves her human Mom and loves to play fetch the stick. She wasn't afraid of the water either.
