Confusion: Duck Style

I am in the process of fixing up a new laptop, so I found some photos from last year taken on the way to Leonardtown on Route 5.  Three Ducks decided to cross the road.  Why is it always 3?  It should be simple, but maybe not.  I sat in my car, waiting for them to decide how to cross the road.  Silliness ensued.

It started out okay.  Heading the right direction.

A discussion occurred.  Are you sure this is the right way?

No.  It must be the other way.

I'm not sure I agree.  I think we need to go that way. (This may look like a previous photo, but I checked the numbers to be sure they were in the correct order.  Hmmm)

Now we've got it!

Squirrels at Home

Squirrels can be fun to watch.  They can be very busy and move very quickly.  They can be amusing if they can't figure out how to get into your bird feeder too!

Shenandoah Animals 2019

Red-tailed hawk at Big Meadows, a bird with a bad wing.  We saw the hawk at a raptor lecture.

Kookaberra and other animals at the Luray Zoo.

Peregrine falcon (through a cage)

Goat that wants attention.

It always tastes better on the other side.

A goat with a beard is not necessarily male.

I loved this photo.  The Blues Brothers and Snowball, the peacocks at Brookside Cabins.  They had just lost most of their fan feathers, so closeups were better and I had to put my lens right up to the cage to make the wires disappear.

Poodle Powwow

I couldn't resist this stuffed poodle toy.  Sarita looks like she talking to her younger sister.

What do you think she is saying?  Witty answers are encouraged.

Jim said, "You're cute, but I'm REAL!"

Way Too Funny Sarita (Our Toy Poodle)!

My sister has a cat door to her basement.  Sarita had to try it out.
Cat door!  Cool!  A way out.

     I think I can fit.

     Help Mom!  I'm stuck!

Pet pictures from a Recent Michigan Trip

We drove to Michigan to visit relatives and met a few pets on the way with our own poodle, Sarita.  So cute!

In West Virginia, we met some poodles:
      Princess

     Buddy

     Buddy

     Sarita

And Blue, the cat.

At Norman Kruse dog beach in Michigan we met a few pets, some were quite wet from romping in Lake Michigan.

      Pug

      Dog in the Dunes

      Wrigley with his Mom

Oops!   No dogs on beach!  Actually on the border between beaches.

Then there was Murphy, the large cat.

Westie Playing Piano Photo for Sale

Here's another favorite in my current Lexington Park Exhibit.  I call it Unleashed Melody or Westie Playing Piano, depending on my mood.  It took a lot of patience to take the photo.  It won a humor contest at the St. Mary's County Camera Club.

Great Blue Heron Portrait Session.

After the osprey leave our nearby nest, other birds such as bald eagles and great blue herons often visit to look around and “play” in a borrowed nest.  I wanted to share a sequence of photos of this great blue heron. It was feeling lively on the particular day I photographed and I was thrilled with the various poses that resulted.  It was almost like having a family portrait session. Now let me see your right profile, your left profile and please lift your right leg, thank you!   I was glad I had the patience to wait for all of the ways it moved.   Now if only I could do it again with a longer lens.  These are all heavily cropped from the originals.

This last photo was taken on another day when it was windy, but I think it is the same heron posing.
