We had a few swans visit close by a few days ago, seven to be exact. Just like in the "Twelve Days of Christmas". We don't see the swans super close very often, but they were visiting with about two dozen geese. They tend to be on the far side of the creek from the geese. They seemed to tolerate each other fairly well and were certainly not afraid of each other. My guess is that I saw 2 adult Tundra swans and 5 juveniles (less than one year old). I liked how their heads were turned two different directions.
I have been hoping to see birds so I could try out a new lens, even though I didn't have time to grab a tripod.
