Happy Holidays! We haven't visited Annmarie Garden for a few years, so at the last minute we drove over to see the lights for a little holiday cheer. The garden mostly added to the display since last time. I still recognized some of the light themes that I've seen before and there were quite a few new display areas. It is still set up as lights along the paved path, so dress warmly if you go and be sure to reserve a time in advance on the website if it is needed. It is great fun for children and includes an indoor (warm) exhibit with a large train set, art exhibit and homemade ornament sales. The current upstairs exhibit in the Kay Daugherty Gallery is Chronicles Storytelling Through Imagery. Sometimes their are visitors like the Frozen Princess or Santa.

Just a few more Autumn scenes before I switch to something else. It's my second favorite time of year after Spring. The colors are beautiful, even though they don't last long.
I found a number of leaves backlit by the sun to photograph. Quite a few of these were taken in a parking lot with careful camera angles. They were easy to get close to for photography and surprisingly beautiful. I liked the shadows.
I like photographing the pretty leaves near Forest Landing in the Autumn. Its a peaceful place popular with canoes, kayaks, boaters and fishermen. I also photographed a small lake nearby.
I will once again be a vendor at the HVFD Fall Craft Show on Sunday November 23, 2025 from 10-3, sharing my photo crafts like cards, prints, clocks and coasters.
Come visit and support me. I've only be doing one craft fair a year since Covid. Everything is homemade at the Show, and you would be supporting small businesses. (I was hoping to find a new flyer, but couldn't find one, so I just fixed the date on last year's flyer.)
We went to Gilbert Run Park for the fall colors on my birthday, mostly because I was afraid it would be one of the last nice days with leaves left on the trees. I didn't know Jim invited some friends at the last minute. Here are photos of the park I took of the trees, hybrid geese, canoes and some lovely birthday flowers from friends in didn't expect.
