Autumn In Leonardtown Oct 30, 2026

We visited Leonardtown twice to photograph Autumn scenes and leaves.  Here are some favorites from the first visit.  I was attempting to view leaves floating in the water by the Leonardtown Wharf and in the town as well.  I was impressed with some of the latest additions to the Leonardtown Wharf since I was last there.  You can actually play chess at a special table, hopscotch, some type of putting green  and table tennis now.

Colorful Sunset from Jan 2nd

There was a recent gorgeous sunset in early January that I particularly liked on my daily walk.  The colors were beautiful.

Autumn Leaves Backgrounds

On my daily walks I strive to create something new and different when I take pictures.  It keeps my mind active and creative.  After most of the fall leaves landed on the ground, I looked for colorful ones with different shapes.  Here are three different backgrounds I found along the way.  Notice how different each one looks.   Yes, I moved them around and tried to remove distractions in the background to improve the photo.

While walking in my neighborhood I met some neighbors playing with their dogs in the water.  So cute.  They were sure having fun in the cold water.

Annmarie Garden Exhibit Ebb and Flow

Save the Date:  Friday, May 24, 2019,  5-8 pm. Enjoy the evening when they announce a few winners of the main summer exhibit.  Usually there are light refreshments and music.

The Ebb and Flow Art Exhibit at Annmarie Garden will include my lovely photo of a Michigan Beach at sunset.

The exhibit will be on display from May 24 through September 2nd.  I plan to be there to meet the other artists and my friends on May 24th.

We explored the creek in Jim's boat over on 9/6.  I enjoyed stopping to see lots of birds and we visited lots of coves.  These were my favorite shots.

Living by the water is a special blessing we never dreamed of having.  I keep my camera nearby, never knowing what we might see, ... or what might float by.  I suppose if I lived near the forest, my photos would be mostly pictures of deer and birds, although we see those also.
