New York City Favorite Photos Nov 27-Dec 1, 2019

I went to New York to sing "The Messiah" at Carnegie Hall with DCINY choirs around the world on December 1st.  While there I took lots of photos (of everywhere but inside Carnegie Hall) and even visited B & H Photo and Video store on Thanksgiving day.  Photo of the outside of Carnegie Hall.

Shenandoah Animals 2019

Red-tailed hawk at Big Meadows, a bird with a bad wing.  We saw the hawk at a raptor lecture.

Kookaberra and other animals at the Luray Zoo.

Peregrine falcon (through a cage)

Goat that wants attention.

It always tastes better on the other side.

A goat with a beard is not necessarily male.

I loved this photo.  The Blues Brothers and Snowball, the peacocks at Brookside Cabins.  They had just lost most of their fan feathers, so closeups were better and I had to put my lens right up to the cage to make the wires disappear.

Sarita in Pink

Our sweet toy poodle is blind with cataracts in her left eye (on right in the photo) and we are treating her with eye drops to remove or reduce her cataracts.  It worked at first, but now she is bumping into walls.  Her right eye is worse.  Blind dogs often do well since vision is not their strongest sense (smell is better).  She is still adorable in pink and at 7 pounds, strangers often remark at her cuteness.

September Fairs 2019

I love the colors of Ferris Wheels when you use a long exposure.  Photographed at the St. Mary's County Fair.

This goat was dressed as Thing Two from Dr. Seuss's book, "The Cat in the Hat" in the pet costume contest.

A rabbit enjoys the backside of a sibling to take a nap.

My friend Nell's flower entry was lovely.

More colors I loved.

These cows were certainly friendly.

The Ridge Festival was late this year.  Here is a ride I never had the courage to try.

And the winning number is...

An amusement worker looked friendly.
