There is a St Mary's Parks and Recreation Fall Photo Contest, so I decided to vist Three Notch Trail again. I didn't find it too interesting last time as far as scenery goes, but they have added a few things, and it was prettier than I expected in the Fall. The Trail was originally an old railroad track route that was abandoned, so the county thought it would make a nice trail. It is popular with runners, bicyclists and the Amish, especially in the northern part of the county. I visited sections near the John V. Baggett Park, where I had never been and near the Charlotte Hall Library entrance. The first 3 were images I sent to the County.

On the recommendation of a friend, I drove to Leonardtown to photograph the scarecrow competition in Leonardtown. There are some very creative folks around here.

New photography exhibit at Southern Branch Calvert Library
Six of my photos are now part of a display at the Southern Branch Calvert Library October through December 2025. The library contacted me last year to ask about a solo exhibit, but I thought it might be nice to offer it to our whole camera club. There is so much talent in our club. The exhibit is spread around 3 small private meeting rooms, 1 large meeting room and the front hall, so it took a little longer to set up than most of our previous exhibits with only one room. So stop by and let the art inspire you. We are always looking for new camera club members (smccc.org).
