Sotterley Eagle Walk

Fellow Camera Club member, Ken Barlow, offered a walk to go see where the eagle nests were at and near Historic Sotterley Plantation.  He taught us about eagles as we walked and of course took lots of photos.  Some of the walkers came from other camera clubs too.  We actually saw an eagle being chased by a crow far in the distance, but I got a better photo of an osprey that was a little closer.  I played with the vases in the window for fun.

A Sotterley Plantation Visit

We went to DC to go to the National Botanic Garden on Thursday, but couldn't find a parking space.  So after driving around a while, we went out for lunch at Tequila Grill in Charlotte Hall and visited Sotterley Plantation instead.

I discovered that the corn crib was renovated, so instead of looking like this in 2009 or so

It now looks like this
Much more up to date, but less artistic.

Here is another interesting corn crib photo of an oyster basket.

The gardens had lots of blooming daffodils.

And this bell made a nice silhouette in the late afternoon sunlight.
