River Concert Series The Travel Program June 21 2019

The Travel Program featured music from around the world including South Indian traditional dance by Radha Ganesan.  The dance was very expressive and incredible coordination.  She is a very talented woman.

She was cheerfully introduced by her brother, Dr. Krishna Jayaraman, one of Jim's doctors from Mechanicsville.

Performing with her were 4 young talented women.

Among the horns on Friday, were the Silberschlag sons, Nathaniel and Zachary, both very talented musicians.

Zach performed a complicated solo at the concert, and received the traditional handshake from his father, Jeffrey Silberschlag.

They played 2 particular favorites of mine at the end, "Moldau" by Smetana and "Tales of the Vienna Woods" by J. Strauss Jr.

Peacocks at Catoctin Wildlife Preserve May 1, 2019

I love to look at peacocks, even though they are slightly obnoxious.  Their iridescent colors are just beautiful.
