Sarita in Pink

Our sweet toy poodle is blind with cataracts in her left eye (on right in the photo) and we are treating her with eye drops to remove or reduce her cataracts.  It worked at first, but now she is bumping into walls.  Her right eye is worse.  Blind dogs often do well since vision is not their strongest sense (smell is better).  She is still adorable in pink and at 7 pounds, strangers often remark at her cuteness.

September Fairs 2019

I love the colors of Ferris Wheels when you use a long exposure.  Photographed at the St. Mary's County Fair.

This goat was dressed as Thing Two from Dr. Seuss's book, "The Cat in the Hat" in the pet costume contest.

A rabbit enjoys the backside of a sibling to take a nap.

My friend Nell's flower entry was lovely.

More colors I loved.

These cows were certainly friendly.

The Ridge Festival was late this year.  Here is a ride I never had the courage to try.

And the winning number is...

An amusement worker looked friendly.

Fire!  By First Maryland Regiment and Brooke's Company of Calvert Militia

Still life decorations by the Crossroads of Hughesville Garden Club.  They were very beautiful and tasteful.

Red tailed hawk and other birds of prey presented by Mike and his friend.

 Eastern screech owl

 Barn owl

 Colonial costume detail

 Barn wall texture

Chalk Point Generating Station (Coal power plant) reflection by the river

This event was very well organized and they thought of everything.  There were even golf carts to help seniors get up the steep hill from the parking lot!

Sunflowers 1

Sunflowers come in a variety of colors like yellow, red and orange.  (I used to think they were only yellow.)  When I saw a few fields of sunflowers, their heads turn toward the sun, so sometimes I needed to walk quite a distance to get a good photo, or they weren't facing the right way to include the sunset.  These were all mostly sunny day photos.

I liked this one, since it had an unusual number of petals and a frilly look.
