Enjoy the ArtsPark Cherry Blossom Festival Sunday April 9th,11-4 at Lexington Park

There will be music, art, demos, performers, dancing, and of course I will be there selling cherry blossom cards and other photography crafts.

The festival includes a costumed dog parade at noon, so bring your dog too to join my cutie, Sarita.

My Friend DJ, the Chihuahua

I photographed DJ recently relaxing in the sun.  He is adorable, and is Sarita's closest canine pal.

Teddy, the Westie at the Dog Park

We met Teddy, a West Highland terrier at the Levels Road dog park in Middletown DE last week.  The park is a very nice nice grassy park which is part of the Charles Price Memorial Park https://www.bringfido.com/attraction/2851/ .  We've stopped there several times when traveling.  Teddy was young and full of energy.  And his Mom had a Chuckit toy.

Teddy had a real dilemma here.  Decisions.  Decisions.

Bald Eagle in Flight

A bald eagle photo from last week, before the osprey arrived.  The osprey came 3/18/17, the latest we've ever recorded. (Or possibly 3/17, since we were out all day.). I doubt if I'll see the eagle much till the osprey leaves in September.

A Sotterley Plantation Visit

We went to DC to go to the National Botanic Garden on Thursday, but couldn't find a parking space.  So after driving around a while, we went out for lunch at Tequila Grill in Charlotte Hall and visited Sotterley Plantation instead.

I discovered that the corn crib was renovated, so instead of looking like this in 2009 or so

It now looks like this
Much more up to date, but less artistic.

Here is another interesting corn crib photo of an oyster basket.

The gardens had lots of blooming daffodils.

And this bell made a nice silhouette in the late afternoon sunlight.

Poodle Powwow

I couldn't resist this stuffed poodle toy.  Sarita looks like she talking to her younger sister.

What do you think she is saying?  Witty answers are encouraged.

Jim said, "You're cute, but I'm REAL!"
